The Milkman chart //

Founder and Co-Owner of the Seattle based label "Insectmind", which he runs with Killer B, The Milkman has been dropping sonic bombs since he got his first decks in the late 90's. Cutting his teeth on the likes of Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, NIN, Ministry, Machine Head, and Front 242 he quickly made a name for himself in the mid-west under the moniker "SQRPHX". In early 2000 he started pushing his productions deep underground and found himself drifting away from his IDM roots and looking for a new sound. In search of this sound he travelled to Seattle and quickly started to build the Insectmind empire. After launching Insectmind.com as a site to promote his sound and the sound of other like minded artists he started booking shows for a local night called "Lunar Module", which was created as a joint project between James Yi and The Milkman, but after only a few months was handed over entirely to him. It was around this time someone handed him a mix cd loaded with bass heavy Dubstep tunes. The infection was instantaneous and The Milkman decided to dedicate Insectmind to the incredible sounds of Dubstep. Soon he was booking the massive sounds of local Dubstep talent like Struggle and Dopelabs . Right around this same time The Milkman and Struggle played the first terrestrial Dubstep broadcast in Seattle on KBCS with host DJ G, it was called "The Dubstep Invasion".
